Russian drones attack Sumy community: three injured

On the afternoon of March 9, the Russians carried out a series of attacks using drones on the territory of the Sumy community.

Civilian infrastructure and places of gathering of people were hit, which led to injuries among local residents.

According to the regional prosecutor’s office, at about 14:30 the occupiers attacked a civilian infrastructure facility in Nyzhny Pishchane, as a result of which two men aged 49 and 28 were injured. Twenty minutes later, at 14:50, another Russian drone hit a parked car near a shopping center in Sumy. A 23-year-old man was injured in this explosion.

Prosecutors, together with other law enforcement officers, are currently documenting the consequences of the Russian attacks and collecting evidence of war crimes. Under the procedural guidance of the Sumy District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched. Investigative actions are being conducted by employees of the Sumy District Police Department, establishing the full extent of damage to citizens’ property.
