The temporarily occupied town of Oleshky, located on the left bank of the Kherson region, is on the verge of survival. Despite the critical situation and lack of basic conditions, the settlement is still home to over 8,000 civilians.
This was stated on TV by the deputy head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Tolokonnikov.
According to local authorities, the situation in the town has remained critical for over a month, as the occupation administration is not only unable to organize the supply of necessary goods, but is also deliberately preventing the import of food. Only in some cases do local entrepreneurs manage to deliver minimal aid, but there is no systematic solution to the problem.
Life in the community has become virtually impossible, and attempts to leave the town or bring goods there are associated with a mortal risk. All access roads to Oleshka are mined, metal spikes are scattered on the roads, and civilian transport is constantly attacked by Russian drones. Officials emphasize that people are simply starving, held hostage in a combat zone with no guarantees of safety or possibility of evacuation.
