In Sumy region, a national park visitor center where children were taught and foreigners were received was destroyed

On March 23, a Russian strike in Velyka Pysarivka completely destroyed the building of the Hetman National Nature Park visitor center. Along with it, a neighboring house and garage were destroyed.

It was here that excursions for children, youth, and tourists were held for years. Routes began from here, in particular, the ecological trail “The Wonder of Slobozhanshchyna”. The premises also housed a small museum with folk items.

According to experts, the center was a key point for receiving visitors – guests from France, Great Britain, Lithuania, and Latvia visited here.

After the start of the full-scale war, some of the routes had to be closed due to danger, but excursions within the settlement were still attempted. Now, this opportunity has actually been destroyed.

Velyka Pysarivka itself is constantly under attack – the Russians are attacking the village with drones, in particular FPV. This makes it difficult to even evacuate the population.

Despite the daily danger, about 500 residents remain in the community who do not want to leave their homes.
