Russian drone attacks train in Kharkiv region – one person killed

On the morning of March 24, the Russian army launched a targeted strike on an electric train at the Slatyne station in the Dergachivska community.

At about 05:20, when the Slatyne – Kharkiv train was standing at the final station “Slatyne” (this is approximately 12 km from the Ukrainian-Russian border), an FPV drone hit it. The drone literally pierced the roof of the car and killed a passenger.

“A 61-year-old passenger died on the spot. The train driver and his assistant had an acute stress reaction. All services are currently working at the scene,” the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported.

Investigators have launched a pre-trial investigation under the article war crime that caused the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
