
On March 24, Russian troops attacked the center of Vinnytsia with drones. As a result of the strikes, a man was killed, 21 more people were injured. Residential buildings were damaged. The prosecutor’s office opened criminal proceedings on the facts of war crimes.

At about 5:00 p.m. on March 24, Russian troops carried out a drone attack on the central part of Vinnytsia. Five hits on civilian objects were recorded.
As a result of the shelling, 21 people were injured, 7 of whom are in hospitals. One person died, city mayor Serhiy Morgunov reported. According to him, as of 11:00 a.m., 71 households were damaged in Vinnytsia as a result of the Russian attack.
In addition to housing, a kindergarten, the building of the academic music and drama theater, and the premises of the summer theater in the park were damaged.
Under the procedural leadership of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor’s Office, pre-trial investigations have been launched in criminal proceedings on the facts of war crimes that led to the death of people – Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. And this is responsibility for violations of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder. This is a serious war crime, punishable by imprisonment for a term of 10 to 15 years or life imprisonment.
Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, are documenting the consequences of the attack.
