On the morning of March 25, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with Geran-2 drones, targeting the Kholodnohirsky and Novobavarsky districts. Nine people were injured as a result of the strikes.
Six injured people were reported in the Novobavarsky district. Two men, aged 71 and 58, and an 84-year-old woman were taken to a medical facility. The other victims suffered an acute stress reaction and received the necessary assistance.
A fire broke out at the scene of the impact.
“In the Novobavarsky district, a drone hit a private residential building, causing a fire on the roof and in the gas network over an area of about 60 m². Neighboring residential buildings were also damaged,” said rescuers of the Kharkiv region.
In the Kholodnohirsky district, a drone hit the courtyard of a multi-storey residential building. Two women were injured there — 66 and 70 years old. One of them is hospitalized in serious condition.
“The elderly woman was particularly badly injured — she was taken away by an ambulance crew, her condition is currently being clarified, but it looks very serious,” commented Bohdan Gladkykh, director of the Kharkiv City Council’s emergency department.
Also, as a result of the shelling, medical assistance was provided on the spot to a 15-year-old girl who suffered an acute stress reaction.
According to Bohdan Gladkykh, three cars were completely destroyed by fire, nine more vehicles were damaged. The kindergarten building, nearby utility equipment, and the glazing of apartment buildings were also damaged.
