“He who is with Orban helps the Kremlin”: Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski made a sharp statement

Supporting the policy of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban directly helps the Russian Federation, as he systematically blocks EU initiatives to help Ukraine.

This was stated by Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski.

According to the Polish Foreign Minister, the position of official Budapest creates significant obstacles to European unity.

Sikorski stressed that the actions of the Hungarian government have concrete consequences for the security of the region.

“Moscow supports Orban because he sabotages the European Union, blocks sanctions and financing of Ukraine,” the Polish Foreign Minister emphasized.

He also added that there is a direct dependence in this issue, which should not be ignored when assessing the actions of European politicians.

“So whoever supports Orban helps Moscow. It really is that simple,” Sikorski said.

Orban’s problems within Hungary

The current Hungarian Prime Minister’s position has significantly shaken against the backdrop of the election campaign. Recently, Viktor Orban was unexpectedly booed at a rally in the city of Győr, which was previously considered a stronghold of his party. In response to the protests, the politician accused those present of “working for Ukraine”.

At the same time, sociological surveys indicate a decline in the government’s ratings. The opposition party “Tisa” led by Peter Magyar has increased the gap from the ruling coalition to 23% among active voters, which may provide it with a constitutional majority.

Against the backdrop of a possible loss in Budapest, it is assumed that Orban may not recognize the election results and resort to radical steps to retain power, as he already tried to do in 2006.
