In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the situation has not changed significantly over the past day. The enemy is concentrating his main efforts on maintaining occupied lines. Over the past day, the enemy carried out 156 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders, using tank weapons, rocket and cannon artillery along the entire line of collision.

In the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region, the invaders require a passport of the Russian Federation in order to receive some types of financial assistance.

Melitopol city chairman Ivan Fedorov reports this.

“The invaders are limiting access to social and humanitarian aid in the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region. The list of recipients of humanitarian aid has decreased, its number has decreased. To receive some types of financial aid, a passport of the Russian Federation is already required,” he wrote.

Fedorov added that, despite promises, social coal is given only to a few categories of recipients, and additional obstacles are invented for those who want to receive social assistance. For example, they are forced to bring copies of neighbors’ documents to confirm the need for financial assistance.

In addition, the occupiers increase the pressure on the residents: they take people prisoner, intimidate, “deport” everyone who does not agree with the new order, limit access to information and force them to obtain Russian passports.

Over the course of two days, the Russians carried out 190 strikes on the territory of the region. They attacked from aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, artillery installations, rocket salvo systems, in particular of the cluster type. Residential and civil infrastructure of Zaporizhzhia, Pologiv and Vasyliv districts were destroyed.

On February 2, the occupying forces shelled the village of Tavriyske of the Komyshuvaska United Territorial Community with Uragan self-propelled grenade launchers with cluster-charged shells.

As a result of shelling, houses were partially destroyed. Their roofs and facades were broken, windows and doors were broken, fences and the territory of the houses were damaged. Local residents’ cars and agricultural machinery were also damaged.

District centers and villages of Gulyaipоlе and Orihiv terromads of Pologiv district came under enemy fire. Private and high-rise buildings were damaged.

All crimes committed by the Russian military are documented under Article 438 (Violation of the Laws and Customs of War) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For each case of armed aggression, police investigators and the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in the Zaporizhzhia region opened criminal proceedings.

According to him, the decrease in the water level in the reservoir is another indicator of the many potential risks for the ZNPP against the background of the war and emphasizes that one should never be complacent about the safety and protection of the plant.

International experts record a large number of explosions near the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant almost every day. Because of this, a nuclear safety zone should be established around the ZNPP as soon as possible.
