Fire in warehouses in Lutsk after Russian attack localized, but not eliminated

After the Russian strike on Lutsk, two fires broke out: one at the Novaya Poshta terminal, which burned to the ground, and the other in the warehouses. At first, it was reported that these were warehouses of one of the grocery chains. However, it later became known that these warehouses were used by about ten businesses. This fire was localized as of 17:00, but not eliminated.

This was stated by the secretary of the Lutsk City Council, Kateryna Shkloda.

“That second large warehouse, where there was a larger fire, was used by more than one business entity. Now we are establishing all the business entities that used these warehouses, as well as the extent of the damage caused. But there were about ten such entities,” the official said.

According to her, the area of ​​​​the fire in these warehouses is more than 5 thousand square meters.

Black smoke was visible over the city due to the fire. When asked about the air quality in Lutsk, the official replied that it had not deteriorated. According to her, the wind was not blowing in the direction of the city, so there was no deterioration in air quality.

Also, according to her, two floors of an apartment building were damaged by the falling debris of the “shaheed”. The fire was immediately extinguished there. The balconies and one of the rooms in the apartments were damaged. The relevant commission has already drawn up a report on the damage. Residents will receive assistance with the repair of double-glazed windows and premises.
