Massive UAV attack in Cherkasy region: there are deaths, injuries and destruction

On April 1, Cherkasy region was subjected to a massive attack by Russian strike drones aimed at critical and civilian infrastructure in the region.

In Cherkasy region, a minibus and a truck were damaged by falling debris. Unfortunately, four people, three minibus passengers and a truck driver, were injured. All of them were promptly provided with the necessary medical assistance, the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in Cherkasy region reports.

Particularly tragic consequences were recorded in Zolotonishye region: four adults died in an open area during an air raid. This was reported by the head of the Cherkasy regional military administration, Igor Taburets.

“The Russian UAV did irreparable harm in Cherkasy region. We have four deaths in the Zolotonishye region. This happened in an open area during an air raid. All circumstances are currently being investigated by law enforcement officers. Investigative actions are ongoing. My condolences to the relatives…”, wrote Taburets.

Fires broke out at the site of the UAV crash: the fire engulfed dry grass in the fields and the forest.

Investigative and operational teams and explosives technicians are working at the scene, recording the consequences of another war crime and seizing evidence. Rescuers of the State Emergency Service are eliminating the sources of ignition. The investigation is being conducted by employees of the Security Service of Ukraine and the regional prosecutor’s office.
