The number of civilian casualties from Russian shelling has increased in Sumy Region

According to the Sumy regional Military Administration, there were 490 attacks on civilian areas in the past week of April 13-19.

This is less than the week before, when there were 545 shellings. On average in March there were about 600 shellings per week. In April there are now 540.

Despite the decrease in shellings, the number of casualties has increased. Last week in Sumy Region four civilians were killed, compared to only one victim the year before. There were 17 victims in all of March. In April there are now 10. There were 21 wounded in the week. The week before there were 49 wounded.

254 people were evacuated from dangerous areas in the past week (78 the week before last).

Infrastructure also suffered last week. Private and multi-story buildings, educational and medical institutions, energy, cars, police, and businesses were again under attack. “Shaheeds,” smaller UAVs, guided aerial bombs, and missiles attack the border areas daily, burning everything around.
