Russia massively strikes Odesa region: there is extensive destruction, deaths and injuries

On the night of May 3, Odesa region experienced another attack by Russian drones. Russian kamikaze drones struck port infrastructure and residential areas, causing extensive destruction and casualties among civilians.

According to the prosecutor’s office, five private houses were partially destroyed in two settlements. A 38-year-old man and woman were killed, five more people were injured, including elderly women aged 64 and 72 and three men of different ages. Two of the injured were hospitalized in serious condition.

At the same time, the State Emergency Service reported several hotbeds of fire: three houses were damaged in the residential sector, windows were broken and structures were destroyed. The death of one person and the injury of three others were confirmed here. A fire broke out in the port area, which rescuers extinguished, but the truck driver died and two others were injured.

In total, 87 rescuers and 24 pieces of equipment were involved in the liquidation of the consequences. The chairmen of Chornomorsk, Vasyl Gulyayev, confirmed that the residential sector of the community was hit. The Sea Ports Administration of Ukraine specified that production and administrative facilities were damaged, and all necessary assistance is being provided to the victims. Law enforcement officers are recording another war crime by the Russian army against the civilian population of the Odesa region.

This attack once again showed that Russian strikes are directed not only against strategic objects, but also against civilians who become victims of night shelling.
