Russia hits Sumy with guided air bomb – warehouses and cars damaged

On May 5, Russian troops continued to shell the Sumy region, where intense fighting on the border is also ongoing. In particular, the Russians hit the regional center with a guided air bomb. As a result, warehouses and cars parked nearby were damaged.

According to preliminary data, there were no casualties as a result of the attack. This was reported by the city military administration.

Thus, the air bomb in Sumy damaged warehouses and about ten parked cars. It also broke windows in a residential high-rise building located next to the site of the strike. According to the city authorities, the strike fell on the outskirts of the city.

In addition, on the night of May 5, the Russians hit a civilian car in Bilopilla with a drone. As a result, the vehicle caught fire, and the blast wave damaged the windows of an apartment building, the State Emergency Service said.

The Sumy region is regularly hit by Russian troops. The region remains under constant threat due to its proximity to the border, and attacks by drones, aerial bombs, and artillery occur daily. Russian drones attacked the center of Shostka in the Sumy region. As a result of the strike on the night of May 4, administrative buildings, residential buildings, and transport were damaged. There are casualties. Rescuers and emergency services are working on the ground.
