
On May 4-5, Russian troops carried out a series of attacks on civilian infrastructure, damaging facilities of Ukrposhta JSC in three regions.
This was reported by the head of the company, Igor Smilyanskyі: “I really don’t like to report such news, but sometimes there are days that are harder than others. Over the past two days, one Ukrposhta branch was destroyed and two more were significantly damaged by the Russians.”
Kherson. After a series of strikes, the building completely burned down. At the time of the attack, there were about 100 parcels inside. Ukrposhta officially confirmed that the cost of each shipment will be fully compensated to the owners. Damage assessment is currently underway, and customers in the area have been redirected to the nearest working branches of the city.
Shostka (Sumy region). 8 stained glass windows and 7 windows were broken due to a night attack. However, by dawn the team had restored order to the territory: they cleaned up and patched up the damaged facade. As of the evening of May 5, the branch had resumed customer service.
Snovsk (Chernihiv region). Another strike on the border. Broken windows, damaged walls. The staff managed to take shelter in time, so no one was injured. Currently, restoration work is underway at the facility.
