
On May 9, Russian troops committed another act of terror against the civilian population of Sumy region.

In the Znob-Novgorod community, a Russian drone hit a private car, as a result of which a local resident was seriously injured.
The victim was a 47-year-old man who was in the vehicle during the attack. He is currently receiving necessary medical care, and law enforcement officers are documenting the consequences of another war crime by the Russian Federation.
In general, the situation in the border areas of the region remains extremely tense. The Sumy Regional Military Administration reports more than 50 shellings recorded during one day on different sections of the front.
The Russians covered 18 settlements located in nine territorial communities of the Sumy region with fire.
Residential areas and civilian infrastructure of Sumy, Bilopol, Krasnopol and other border communities were subjected to intense attacks.
In addition to Znob-Novgorod, settlements of Yunakivska, Berezivska and Esmanska communities suffered significant destruction.
The Putyvlska, Novoslobodska and Velykopysarivska communities were also under artillery and mortar fire.
