On the evening of May 9, Russian troops launched a drone strike on a nine-story residential building in the Industrial District of Kharkiv.
The strike hit the technical floor of the building, said chairman Igor Terekhov.
“As a result of a Russian drone hitting the technical floor of a 9-story building in the Industrial District, two people were injured (at this moment), the elevator shaft was damaged, and about thirty windows were broken. The building is being inspected,” Terekhov wrote.
The same information was confirmed by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov.
“According to updated information, the “arrival” of a Russian UAV was recorded in the technical floor of a nine-story residential building in the Industrial District. Currently, specialized services are eliminating the consequences of the attack,” Sinegubov noted.
Later, he clarified that the number of victims in the Industrial District of Kharkiv had increased to five, including an 8-year-old boy.
“Five people have already been injured in the Industrial District. Medics continue to provide assistance at the site of the Russian “arrival,” — stressed Synegubov.
It should be noted that the strike on Kharkiv took place while the ceasefire initiated by US President Donald Trump from May 9 to 11, which was agreed to by both official Kyiv and Moscow, is still in effect.
