Explosions in Cherkasy Region: Russian drones hit Smila community, some seriously injured

Since the morning of May 13, Cherkasy Region has been living under air alert signals. This time, Smila community was under Russian gunfire — Russian drones attacked the city and surrounding villages, leaving behind destruction and casualties.

According to preliminary information, Russian UAVs were recorded falling at several locations in Smila and neighboring settlements. Residential infrastructure was hit.

Three injured people are known. Two people are in serious condition, another person is in moderate condition. All injured people have been hospitalized, doctors are providing necessary assistance.

Currently, an examination of the territories is underway on the ground, emergency services and specialists are working.

The information was reported by the head of the Cherkasy regional military administration, Igor Taburets: “The Cherkasy region experienced another air attack today… Russian hardware caused a lot of trouble in our communities. Fortunately, there were no fatalities. Three injured residents were hospitalized – they are being provided with the necessary assistance.”

According to him, damage to the residential sector was recorded in the Smilyanska, Ternivska and Balakleivska communities. In the Uman district, a house caught fire as a result of a UAV crash – the fire, as in other cases, was quickly extinguished.

All necessary services are working at the scene of the hits.
