On May 13, during the Russian shelling, one of the buildings of the Volyn National University named after Lesya Ukrainka was damaged. Preliminary reports indicate that windows were broken in one of the academic buildings and one of the dormitories.
This was reported by the rector of the Volyn National University, Anatoliy Tsyos.
According to him, the final information about the consequences of the attack is still being clarified, because the air raids continued in the city and access to some areas was limited.
“There is no final information, just a few minor problems with the windows, and everything is fine. But we are clarifying now, because there is still an air raid and there is still no free access there, so the issue is still open,” the rector said.
