Rescuers said that the Russians struck the residential sector and industrial zone of Sumy.

As a result of the artillery shelling by Russia, 6 people were injured, one of them is a child, she has an acute stress reaction, the State Emergency Service reported.

Due to the threat of repeated strikes, rescuers repeatedly suspended work and moved to a safe place. Currently, all sources of ignition have been eliminated.

Sumy was under attack by the Russians on the morning of May 21. The head of the Sumy city military administration, Serhiy Kryvosheyenko, reported that hits were recorded on private residential buildings in the Kovpakiv district.

Initially, 3 people were reported injured, but later their number increased to 6. Two men were in serious condition. It is worth noting that the Sumy region is constantly under Russian shelling. Thus, on the night of May 20, Russian drones shelled Konotop, one of the drones destroyed part of a high-rise building, people were injured. A hospital and a museum were also damaged.
