
On the night of May 26, the Russians struck with drones at facilities in the Zhytomyr region, including transport infrastructure and industry. This was reported by the head of the Zhytomyr regional military administration, Vitaly Bunechko.
As a result of the attack, a 56-year-old man was injured. He was hospitalized in a medical facility.
After the Russian strikes, fires broke out at the locations. The work of rescuers was complicated by the constant threat of repeated air strikes. However, despite the danger, emergency workers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine quickly localized the fires and eliminated the pursuit.
41 rescuers and 14 units of special equipment were involved in eliminating the consequences of the attack. Together with the specialists from the State Emergency Service, community rescue officers also worked on the ground.
Work is currently underway to eliminate the consequences of the shelling. Specialists are examining the areas for explosives and documenting the consequences of the Russian strikes.
