Russian forces with MLRS hit a playground in Kherson

Six civilians were injured in Kherson region from Russian shelling on May 27 as of 5:30 p.m., the Kherson regional prosecutor’s office reports.

“Since nightfall, Russians have been attacking Kherson, Komyshany, and Belozerka with drones. In total, five civilians were injured in these settlements. Another person was injured in the regional center by Russian artillery,” the report says.

Also, russian troops with MLRS attacked the Korabelny district of Kherson – a playground was hit, the head of the city military administration Yaroslav Shanko reported.

The strike occurred at around 5:30 p.m.

According to him, as a result of the Russian attack, a 36-year-old mother and two daughters, aged 6 and 3, suffered mine-explosive injuries and multiple shrapnel wounds.

Shanko added that, according to preliminary information, Russian forces killed the father of the family, who is currently hospitalized.

The Russian army conducted shelling using cannons, rocket artillery, mortars, and various types of drones.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson region prosecutor’s office, pre-trial investigations have been launched into the facts of war crimes (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
