Two people killed, 13 injured in Russian shelling of Kharkiv region

During the day from June 19 to 20, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv and 11 settlements in the Kharkiv region. Two people were killed and 13 others were injured, including four children.

According to reports from the head of the regional military administration, Oleg Synegubov, and the press service of the Kharkiv region police, on the evening of June 19, a Russian drone attacked a civilian car in the Kyivsky district of Kharkiv. The impact killed a 48-year-old passenger in the vehicle. The 38-year-old driver received explosive injuries.

On the night of June 20, Russian troops launched guided air bombs at the Kholodnohirsky district of Kharkiv. One of the hits was recorded at a civilian enterprise, where a 64-year-old security guard was injured. Another air bomb hit a two-story residential building. A 76-year-old man was killed. Three women aged 54, 67 and 87, three men aged 49, 49 and 66, as well as a six-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl were injured.

In the village of Stary Saltiv, Chuguiv district, a drone hit the roof of a residential building where a woman and two children aged 11 and 13 were staying. A fire broke out after the impact. The children suffered an acute stress reaction.

Russian troops also attacked two gas stations – in the village of Maksymivka, Bogodukhov district, and in Bogodukhov. The strikes damaged the premises, the stele and cars. In Bogodukhov, a 62-year-old man was wounded by shrapnel and received medical assistance.

In addition, doctors provided assistance to a 35-year-old and 61-year-old man who was injured as a result of Russian shelling of the village of Kurylivka, Kupyanskyі district, on June 16.

During the liquidation of the consequences of the Russian strike on Kharkiv on June 19, rescuers found fragments of a man’s body.

The civilian infrastructure of the region was also damaged as a result of Russian attacks. In the village of Zolochiv, Bogodukhiv district, household premises were destroyed and a private household was partially damaged. In the village of Myrne, Kupyanskyі district, a residential building was damaged.

In the Izyum district, households were destroyed in the village of Bugaivka and the city of Balakliya, where fires broke out after the shelling.

In the Kharkiv district, residential buildings were damaged in the villages of Cherkaska Lozova and Tsupivka. In Dergachy, warehouses of a transport enterprise were damaged.

In the Lozovskyі district, a private house in the village of Domakha was damaged, as well as a civilian enterprise and a car in Lozova.

On June 20, the Russian army used various types of weapons in the Kharkiv region: seven guided aerial bombs; five Geran-2 UAVs; six Molniya UAVs; five FPV drones; 18 UAVs (type to be determined).

At about 03:45 on June 19, Russian troops launched an air strike on the Kholodnohirsky district of Kharkiv. According to preliminary data, the Russian army used UMPB-5 aviation ammunition for the attack.
