Russia launched a massive attack on Sumy Region

Russian troops launched strikes on communities in Sumy Region from the night of June 20 and throughout the day of June 21, using guided bombs and drones. According to the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleg Grigorov, one person was killed and at least 10 civilians were injured in the attacks.

In recent days, the region has recorded a significant increase in the intensity of guided bomb strikes on the outskirts of the regional center.

At around 4:00 p.m. on June 20, the Russian army launched a strike with guided bombs on the outskirts of Sumy. A civilian man died as a result of the attack. Five more people were injured, including a 75-year-old woman who was hospitalized. Her life is currently out of danger.

A woman with a three-year-old child also sought medical help. During the explosion, the mother covered her daughter with herself, but the girl injured her limb. After examination by doctors, the child was released for outpatient treatment.

Another woman was injured during an attack by a Russian drone on the territory of the Sumy community, while she was in an open area.

In the Trostyanets community, two women were injured as a result of a drone strike on transport; they are being treated as outpatients.

In the Znob-Novgorod community, a Russian drone attacked a civilian car on a highway. The driver was injured, his injuries are initially assessed as minor.

Another local resident was injured in the Velykypysarivska community after the Russians dropped an explosive device from a drone. The man is in the hospital under the supervision of doctors.

Russian troops shelled the Sumy community on the morning of June 21. Six people sought medical help, one woman was hospitalized. According to the report of the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Oleg Grigorov, Russian hits were recorded at six addresses, and 5 residential buildings were damaged.
