In Odesa region, a ballistic strike killed two people: more than a dozen injured

Odesa region was again hit by a Russian ballistic strike, which led to casualties and destruction. Rescuers have already extinguished the fire at the site of the strike, and medics continue to provide assistance to the injured.

On the afternoon of July 1, Russian troops launched a ballistic strike on the territory of Odesa region. According to preliminary information, two people died as a result of the attack. Another 13 people were injured, 11 of whom were hospitalized. All the injured are receiving necessary medical assistance.

As a result of the strike, the territory of one of the enterprises was damaged. The strike caused a fire, which rescuers have already extinguished.

According to the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, as a result of the strike of a ballistic missile, two warehouses with toilet paper and mineral fertilizers, as well as a field with wheat, were damaged and set on fire.

Firefighters worked in extremely difficult conditions to contain the flames. At one of the warehouses, the fire was extinguished at the initial stage on a small area, while another warehouse suffered enormous damage, where the fire covered thousands of square meters. At the same time, the fight for the harvest continued – rescuers extinguished a wheat fire at the root on an area of 15 hectares, thanks to which another 35 hectares of Ukrainian grain were saved from destruction. All emergency and specialized services continue to work on the site. Specialists are documenting the consequences of the Russian attack and clarifying information about the scale of destruction and the number of victims. Final data on the consequences of the ballistic strike will be made public after the completion of the work of the relevant services.
