Since the beginning of 2026, Russians have attacked 90 gas stations in the Kharkiv region. 60 of these attacks took place since spring.
Most of these attacks were in Bogoduhiv and Bogoduhivskyi district. There was a period when not a single gas station in the Bogoduhivskyi community worked for several days.
In the city of Kharkiv itself, the Russians began attacking gas stations since spring. In total, 17 gas stations have already been attacked. The Russians use different types of drones to attack these facilities. Accordingly, the damage is different. Amidst these attacks, gas station owners are trying to protect their equipment from direct hits on their own to prevent fires.
In Kharkiv and the region, road protection with anti-drone nets is being strengthened. Currently, the most dangerous section is the Okhtyrka-Bogodukhiv section, which is part of the Kharkiv-Sumy highway. On June 29, an enemy FPV drone attacked a bus there, killing a 75-year-old woman. Before that, they attacked trucks of the Saltivskyi meatpacking plant with drones.
The Russians’ goal is to stop traffic on this highway. Against the backdrop of increased attacks, people are looking for alternative routes, which significantly increases travel time.
