Russia sentences 17-year-old resident of occupied Donetsk to nine years in a colony

The Southern District Military Court of Rostov-on-Don has sentenced a 17-year-old resident of temporarily occupied Donetsk to nine years in a correctional colony. The teenager was found guilty on a number of charges, including high treason and preparation for a terrorist act.

The convicted person is 17-year-old Yevgeny Zhadan. He was charged with high treason, preparation for a terrorist act, participation in a terrorist organization, and illegal trafficking in explosives.

It is currently unknown when the teenager was detained. At the same time, it is noted that in February 2026 he was added to the Russian list of extremists and terrorists.

At the same time, there is no independent confirmation of the circumstances of the case, and the Russian court has not officially published a notice of this verdict.
