
Destruction in two areas: the environmental inspectorate announced the consequences of the Russian strikes on Zaporizhzhia on July 8
According to a report by the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Southern District on July 8, the Russian army launched new strikes on the Voznesenivskyi and Zavodskyi districts of Zaporizhzhia.
Specialists from the environmental inspectorate worked at the sites of the strikes. They recorded land contamination with demolition waste over an area of over 400 square meters in the Voznesenivskyi district.
In the Zavodskyi district, one site recorded contamination of the territory over an area of over 1,000 square meters, and another over 1,400 square meters. A crater with an area of 16 square meters was also discovered at the second location. Samples were taken for further laboratory research.
An assessment of the extent of the damage to the environment has begun.
