Russian strikes on Sumy region: six people died, 42 more were injured on July 11

On July 11, Russian troops launched a series of strikes on Sumy region. As a result of the attacks, six people died, 42 more were injured. Police and rescuers released footage of the consequences of the shelling.

This was reported by the Sumy regional police.

According to the Sumy regional police, 13 communities in the region came under fire. The occupiers used guided aerial bombs, artillery and strike drones.

The Sumy community suffered the greatest losses. Five people died as a result of the strike with guided aerial bombs, including a 13-year-old girl and men aged 27 to 67.

A total of 42 people were injured, including four children: a newborn girl, girls aged 10 and 12, and a 13-year-old boy. Among the injured were also women aged 18 to 80 and men aged 20 to 87.

Another fatality occurred in the Esmanska community, where a 46-year-old man died after blowing himself up on an explosive device. In addition, a 53-year-old man was injured there as a result of a Russian drone attack.

In the Seredino-Budska community, two women aged 45 and 66 were injured as a result of a drone strike.

Law enforcement officers are documenting the consequences of the Russian attacks. Criminal proceedings have been opened for each fact under Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war).
