
According to the Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Russians once again cynically attacked civilian infrastructure of Odesa region on the morning of July 13.
Among the wounded is a 5-year-old girl It is noted that under the procedural leadership of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation into the facts of war crimes (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been launched.
On the morning of July 13, the Russian armed forces carried out a combined strike using missiles and drones on civilian infrastructure facilities of Odesa region. In particular, the glazing in a residential building was broken. A large fire broke out on the territory of a transport enterprise: the fire engulfed six buses, which burned completely. In addition, the blast wave and debris caused serious damage to eleven more buses and six cars.
Rescue units quickly extinguished the flames, preventing them from spreading to a larger area.
To eliminate the consequences of the incident, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine involved 31 rescuers and 7 pieces of equipment.
Five civilians were injured in the Russian attack. Among them was a 5-year-old girl who was hospitalized in moderate condition. Four men aged 55-66 are also currently in the hospital with injuries. Law enforcement officers, together with other services, continue to work at the sites of the strikes. Police officers are documenting the consequences of the attack, collecting evidence of a war crime, and establishing the final extent of the destruction. The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is being conducted by the Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region.
Due to the Russian attack, Odesa was left without some bus routes
According to the head of the enterprise, after the morning shelling on the territory of the company with additional liability “Third Bus Park”, a large-scale fire broke out. The fire completely destroyed 15 buses, including vehicles that operated intercity and international flights.
As a result, some flights had to be canceled.
“15 buses were completely burned down. International flights were also disrupted due to the shelling. In addition, two of our people were injured. Both are in the hospital: one with a minor injury, and the other in serious condition, he is currently on the operating table,” Vladislav Cherkesov said.
Two drivers of the company were injured as a result of the Russian strike. One of them received minor injuries, the other is in serious condition and underwent urgent surgery.
According to the head of the fleet, the company suffered significant losses due to the loss of rolling stock, which affected the performance of bus transportation.
