
The number of people injured as a result of the Russian shelling of a residential high-rise building in Zaporizhzhia on the evening of July 12 has increased to nine. Among the victims is a 15-year-old teenager.
According to the Zaporizhzhia regional police, the attack occurred at 10:34 p.m. As a result of the hit, an apartment building suffered significant damage, and fires engulfed apartments on the second, third, and fourth floors.
The blast wave also damaged neighboring buildings and cars parked nearby.
As of the morning of July 13, law enforcement officials confirmed nine injuries. Information about the victims is being clarified.
The State Emergency Service reported that on July 12, rescuers extinguished five fires in Zaporizhzhia and its suburbs. One of them occurred on the territory of an agricultural enterprise, where the fire destroyed agricultural machinery. In total, 11 people were injured as a result of Russian attacks in the city and region.
Law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings under the article on war crimes (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) into the fact of the shelling.
