Three dead, over 15 injured: Russians launch six airstrikes on Sumy community

On July 15, Russian forces launched six guided bomb strikes on the Sumy community. The attack killed three people and injured 20 others, including a 16-year-old boy.

One of the munitions hit near medical facilities in an area where many people and vehicles were at the time of the strike. Previously, the remaining bombs hit infrastructure facilities.

According to the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Oleg Grigorov, civilians and vehicles were at the epicenter of one of the strikes. This is another deliberate Russian strike on the civilian population.

Initially, three people were killed and seven were injured. Later, the number of victims increased to 20, including a man and a woman.

“Another person received extremely serious injuries, which is why it is currently impossible to establish their gender. The identities of the deceased are being determined,” the head of the regional military administration specified.

Among the wounded is a 16-year-old boy.

“He and two other wounded with serious injuries are currently undergoing surgery,” the head of the region said.

Other victims are being provided with the necessary medical care, some of them have already been released for outpatient treatment after examination.

On the evening of July 14, Russian troops struck a residential area on the outskirts of Sumy. According to preliminary data, the Russians used cluster munitions. Russian drones also hit the territory of the Sumy community, damaging civilian infrastructure. Later, it became known that seven people were injured as a result of the shelling.
