
In the Kherson region, six civilians were injured as a result of Russian shelling from various types of weapons.
According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, on July 16, 2026, the Russian army carried out shelling of settlements in the Kherson region using aviation, artillery and drones. As of 17:30, it was recorded that six civilians were injured as a result of the consequences of Russian aggression.
According to the prosecutor’s office, one person each in Mykilsky and Krasnosilsky and four residents of Kherson were injured as a result of Russian attacks. One of the injured in Kherson is an employee of a medical institution.
In addition, apartment buildings, an educational institution, an ambulance, a moped and a passenger vehicle were damaged.
The regional prosecutor’s office has launched a pre-trial investigation into the facts of war crimes (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Another strike on Kherson: Russians attack civilian car with drone
On July 16, a civilian car in the Dnipro district of the regional center was hit by a Russian drone. As a result of the attack, a man who was in the car was injured – he suffered serious injuries.
Doctors diagnosed the 35-year-old victim with concussion, explosive and traumatic brain injuries.
The injured person was hospitalized, and is now receiving all necessary assistance.
An employee of one of the municipal enterprises who was injured during the strike also sought medical attention. Doctors diagnosed the 61-year-old man with a mine-explosive injury, concussion and acute stress reaction.
A total of six people were injured in the attacks in the Kherson region on July 16. The prosecutor’s office has launched a pre-trial investigation into the facts of war crimes.
