Missile strike on Lviv: first details of consequences of Russian attack emerge

On the morning of July 30, explosions were heard during an air raid in Lviv. According to the report, Chairman Andriy Sadovyi reported that damage to buildings had been previously recorded as a result of the Russian missile attack and urged residents to stay in shelters until the danger was over.

Later, it became known that fires had broken out in residential high-rise buildings in the Zaliznychny district as a result of the hits. Rescuers, firefighters, medics and other emergency services immediately began work on the scene. The rescue operation is ongoing.

It was previously known that six people were injured as a result of the attack. Emergency workers continue to dismantle the rubble, and the elimination of the consequences is complicated by fires that broke out after the missile strikes.

The Russian attack damaged two high-rise residential buildings. The final extent of the destruction is still being established, as experts continue to examine the sites of the hits.

Due to the elimination of the consequences of the impact, public transport in the city was temporarily changed.

The city authorities urge residents not to approach the impact sites, not to interfere with the work of emergency services and to follow only official information. The number of victims and the extent of the destruction may change, as emergency and rescue operations are ongoing.
