Russians strike energy facility in Kharkiv region: one injured

On July 29, Russian troops carried out new attacks on Kharkiv region. This time, they struck an energy facility in the Valkivsk community of Bogodukhiv district.

According to the report, the chairman of the city, Valeriy Skrypnichenko, the Russians attacked the energy infrastructure facility twice, and emphasized that energy specialists are already working on the site, assessing the extent of the damage and dealing with the consequences.

One citizen was injured as a result of the shelling.

In addition to the attacks on the energy facility, Russian drones attacked a residential building in Valky during the day. The attack resulted in a fire that was localized.

Attacks on the Valky community

This is not the first case of attacks on the Valky community in recent weeks. On July 26, Russian troops attacked a gas station, and on July 9, drone strikes in Valky killed a woman. Then another person was injured, and two residents experienced an acute stress reaction.

Due to regular attacks and the worsening security situation, the Valky city council submitted documents to return the community to the status of a territory of possible hostilities.

This status was abolished in April 2025 to ensure the possibility of educating children in a blended format — partly in shelters, partly online.
