Russia attacked Zhytomyr region: three children injured

Six people, including three children, were injured in a Russian attack in Zhytomyr region. Russian troops hit an agricultural enterprise, and the blast wave damaged nearby residential buildings and social facilities.

The target of the Russian strike was an agricultural enterprise in Zhytomyr region. The explosion caused destruction not only directly on the territory of the facility: the shock wave damaged surrounding private houses and social infrastructure.

Six people were injured, half of them children. Information about the nature of the injuries and the condition of the victims is being clarified.

Units of the State Emergency Service and other emergency services are working at the scene. Rescuers are eliminating the consequences of the shelling, dismantling damaged structures and inspecting buildings.

A separate task is being performed by the State Emergency Service sappers. They are examining the territory for fragments of ammunition and other explosive objects. Until the inspection is complete, residents are urged not to approach or touch suspicious fragments.

Specialists of the State Emergency Service, together with volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross rapid response unit, are deploying special aid points near the attack site.

The final extent of the damage is still being determined. After the emergency work is completed, specialists should inspect the damaged housing and social facilities to determine whether they remain suitable for further use.
