Large Ukrainian food chains face food shortages due to Russian shelling

Shoppers in Kyiv are noticing unusually empty shelves in popular food supermarkets where they are used to doing their daily shopping. These are supermarkets belonging to the Silpo and Fora chains. The management of these retailers has admitted that there is indeed a shortage. Delays and disruptions in the supply of goods have arisen due to Russian missile attacks on the warehouses of these and other market operators.

According to a message from Fora.market on social networks: “Unfortunately, we are now in a very difficult situation: as a result of the Russian attack, important warehouses for storing products were destroyed. Because of this, the selection of goods in stores may temporarily be significantly smaller, and some items may be missing.”

At the same time, they promise to quickly adjust the food supply process. First of all, supermarkets will be supplied with essential products, and later they will be filled with a full range. The shelves will not be empty, retailers promised.
