Belarusian schoolchildren will be taught drone operations

In the new academic year, drone operations and tactical medicine training have been added to the “pre-conscription and medical training” program for Belarusian tenth-graders. This was announced by Belarusian Deputy Education Minister Alexander Kadlubai.

Boys will receive a 10-hour course in drone operations. For girls, the practical portion of the medical training has been expanded, adding tactical medicine skills.

According to the official, the program now places greater emphasis on practical skills needed “in real-world conditions.” Authorities also praised the 10-day training camp for tenth-graders held at the end of the last academic year.

Drone operations training for schoolchildren in Belarus began even earlier: an elective course has been available since last year, and military-patriotic drone operators’ clubs teach children as young as third grade.
