Two dead, two wounded: consequences of Russian attacks in Sumy region

Russian troops shelled Sumy region almost 60 times in a day on August 15. The Russians used mortars, artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, FPV drones, other UAVs and guided aerial bombs.

Sumy, Mykolaiv rural, Khotyn, Yunakiv, Krasnopil, Bilopol, Esman, Shostky, Seredino-Bud, Khutir-Mykhailiv, Novoslobod and Velykopysariv communities were hit – a total of 27 settlements in 17 communities of the region.

Two civilians were killed, two more people were injured.

One civilian died in Velykopysariv community. A Russian drone took the life of a 51-year-old man.

In the Seredino-Budska community, a 71-year-old woman was injured as a result of a Russian UAV strike.

Russian attacks were once again accompanied by a prolonged threat to the civilian population. Over the course of the day, the air alert in the Sumy region lasted 20 hours and 29 minutes.
