Which warehouses of retail chains and brands were affected by Russian attacks on August 20

As a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region on the night of August 20, a number of companies were affected – the damage and extent of the destruction are currently being assessed.

The Russians are destroying the infrastructure that provided the capital and other regions of Ukraine with products and goods.

Due to the destruction, warehouses and chains are warning of possible temporary disruptions to the assortment in some stores, especially fresh and frozen products.

In Ukraine, over 300 thousand sq. m of warehouse space was destroyed in just six months, and the intensification of Russian attacks on Ukrainian logistics over the past two months has led to an increase in losses in this segment.

Thus, the losses in 2026 may already be approaching the level of 2022, when the warehouse segment suffered the greatest losses during the war years. Then, in the Kyiv region alone, the Russians destroyed 400 thousand sq. m of professional warehouse space.
