By striking at checkpoints, Russia is trying to disrupt international traffic through the Odesa region

In the last week alone, Russia has attacked border infrastructure in the south of the Odesa region three times. The international checkpoints on the border with Moldova – “Reni-Giurgiulesti”, “Tabaky” and “Vynohradivka” – were hit. Thus, the Russians are trying to disrupt international traffic through the Odesa region.

According to border guards, fortunately, there were no casualties during the attacks.

The nature of the attacks indicates Russia’s targeted attempts to disrupt the work of the border and transport infrastructure, complicate international traffic and create an additional threat to people crossing the state border.

At the same time, the State Border Service of Ukraine does not comment on the issue of a possible strengthening of the security of checkpoints in the near future for security reasons.
