Russian drone destroys warehouse of Czech organization Koridor UA in Mykolaiv

A Russian drone has destroyed a warehouse belonging to the Czech humanitarian organization Koridor UA in Mykolaiv. The building burned down, and the losses amount to millions of crowns. This marks the first direct strike on one of the organization’s facilities during its five years of operation in Ukraine. We have previously reported on how Czech organizations are assisting Ukraine.

According to Koridor UA director Matouš Blaha, the drone struck the roof and entrance of the warehouse shortly after noon. A massive fire broke out following the explosion. Emergency crews worked at the scene until the following morning. No one was injured in the attack.

The facility housed aid intended for hospitals, schools, children, the elderly, and other recipients. After the fire was extinguished, staff began retrieving whatever items could be salvaged.

Koridor UA currently lacks a facility to which the surviving cargo can be moved. The organization has launched a fundraiser for a new warehouse and plans to resume aid deliveries as soon as possible.

Czech humanitarian organizations operate in the hardest-hit regions of Ukraine. In 2025 alone, they have assisted 880,000 Ukrainians, including by repairing medical facilities and delivering generators.

Koridor UA reports a deteriorating situation in Mykolaiv. Recently, the city has seen attacks on commercial facilities, warehouses belonging to postal and logistics companies, and other infrastructure.

Koridor UA is a Czech non-governmental humanitarian organization established in 2022 following the start of the full-scale Russian invasion. It delivers aid from the Czech Republic and Slovakia to the Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and other affected regions.

The organization provides evacuation kits, medical and construction equipment, windows, solar panels, and water purification systems, and also helps repair homes and schools. The Czech Republic has also supplied generators to Mykolaiv and other Ukrainian cities to support critical infrastructure.
