Massive attacks on Izium and Bohodukhiv in the Kharkiv region: number of wounded rises

On the morning of September 15, Russian forces launched a massive strike using 10 guided aerial bombs on the city of Izium. Impacts were recorded in residential areas, causing destruction and damage to residential, administrative, and other buildings.

The number of people affected by the Russian attack in Izium has risen to 12.

Specifically, eight people sustained injuries, while three others suffered an acute stress reaction.

Three of the injured were hospitalized; their condition is moderate. Medical professionals are currently attending to the wounded.

The others received medical assistance at the scene.

Two fires broke out and were extinguished by firefighters. Emergency response units from the State Emergency Service and a community rescue officer worked at the site.

Communication disruptions are currently being observed; specialists are reconfiguring equipment to stabilize mobile network operations.

Electricity supply in the damaged areas is being restored gradually; however, due to the extent of the damage, it is impossible to fully restore the power grid within the day (September 15).

Given the significant damage to the private housing sector and apartment buildings, work to temporarily seal off damaged structures will continue tomorrow; the scale of destruction, the security situation, and weather conditions make it impossible to complete the entire scope of work in a single day.

All relevant services are continuing their operations.

Additionally, Russian forces have been attacking the city of Bohodukhiv throughout the day on September 15. After several weeks of relative quiet, the community is once again enduring a difficult night and morning amidst the sounds of Russian jet-powered drones and explosions. There are no reports of casualties in Bohodukhiv so far, but locals report hearing explosions in the city.
