Russia strikes evacuation point in Kramatorsk

Russian forces attacked an evacuation point in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. The strike occurred on September 20. According to Yevhen Kaplin, head of the “Proliska” humanitarian mission, the Russians used an aerial bomb. The Russian bomb struck the evacuation point directly. Evacuees and evacuation personnel were present at the site.

At the time of the strike, the facility housed people preparing for evacuation as well as staff members assisting civilians in leaving dangerous areas. Evacuation points are used to organize the departure of residents from settlements regularly subjected to Russian attacks; there, people receive assistance with registration, transport, and subsequent relocation to safer areas. Information regarding potential casualties, fatalities, and the extent of the damage is currently being verified.
