Five people wounded in Russian attacks in Kherson region

On September 20, Russian forces attacked the right-bank area of ​​the Kherson region using multiple launch rocket systems, tube artillery, and various types of drones. As of 5:30 PM, five people were reported wounded due to the shelling.

A resident of Novovorontsovka came under artillery fire. Additionally, three Kherson residents and one resident of Borozenske were wounded in Russian drone attacks.

Furthermore, strikes by Russian troops damaged private homes and apartment buildings, a café, a bank, a museum, a passenger bus, and private vehicles.

Prosecutors have initiated a pre-trial investigation into war crimes (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Russian forces are using drones to attack civilians in the Kherson region, striking buses, volunteers, churches, and trucks carrying food supplies. Drones are hitting apartments and humanitarian aid centers.

The main challenge lies in the sheer number of UAVs launched by Russian troops; it is impossible to destroy every single drone, so some inevitably reach their targets.

The UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine classifies the massive Russian drone attacks on civilians on the right bank of the Kherson region as crimes against humanity.

On September 20, the Russian army used drones to strike a shop and a residential building in Zelenivka, within the Kherson urban community. They also attacked a passenger bus in the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. Preliminary reports indicate there were no casualties. The attack on Zelenivka occurred around 1:00 PM, sparking a fire. There are no reports of casualties.

Russian forces used drones to attack a shop and a residential building in Zelenivka, and once again struck a commuter minibus with an FPV drone in the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson.

Like Zelenivka itself, the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson is frequently targeted by Russian drones hunting for civilian vehicles and residential areas. Russian forces target minibuses, passenger cars, and infrastructure, disregarding the presence of civilians.

Regional authorities have repeatedly documented such attacks, which have previously resulted in deaths and injuries. Each such strike forces community residents to risk their lives daily when moving about the streets or using public transport.
