Russia attacks Kyiv and the region with drones; casualties reported

On September 27, Kyiv and the Kyiv region were targeted by Russian attack drones; two fatalities and at least six injuries—including two teenagers—have been confirmed.

A 56-year-old man working as a security guard at an office building was killed in Kyiv’s Solomianskyi district. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a 24-year-old woman and two 16-year-old teenagers were injured by flying glass on the street.

The attack destroyed an auto repair shop and over 30 vehicles in the capital. A restaurant, a gas station, office buildings, and a school building sustained damage.

Law enforcement authorities have initiated a pre-trial investigation under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, covering war crimes resulting in death.

In the Kyiv region, one person was killed and three others were injured in the attack. They are receiving medical care, and the status of the injured is being assessed.

In Vyshneve (Bucha district), a drone strike damaged five vehicles and sparked a fire. In Brovary, the attack caused fires in a warehouse and an office building. Rescue workers and emergency services are operating at the scenes.
