Russian attacks on Kyiv on September 28: 1 dead, 21 injured, air raid alerts lasting nearly 9 hours

On September 28, Russian attacks on Kyiv resulted in one fatality and injuries to 21 people. Air raid alerts in the city lasted nearly nine hours. According to the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office, the actions of the Russian military have been classified as a war crime under Parts 1 and 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation is being conducted by investigators from the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) for Kyiv and the Kyiv region.

In Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi district, eight people—including a doctor and an ambulance driver—were injured when a drone struck the administrative building of a medical center. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, six people were injured and one woman was killed following a strike on a building belonging to the National Academy of Sciences. Throughout the day, another seven people sustained injuries in the Darnytskyi and Obolonskyi districts of Kyiv.
