Number of people injured in Russian strike on Kharkiv rises to 43, including 11 children

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, on September 28 at approximately 04:00, Russian armed forces struck a nine-story residential building in Kharkiv’s Saltivskyi district with a munition.

The number of people injured in the Russian strike on the residential high-rise in Kharkiv has risen to 43, according to the latest data from the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office. Eleven children are among the injured.

According to the regional prosecutor’s office investigation, on September 28 at approximately 04:00, Russian armed forces struck a nine-story residential building in Kharkiv’s Saltivskyi district with a munition.

Previously, 35 injuries had been reported.

According to chairman Ihor Terekhov, Kharkiv was subjected to 12 Russian attacks between September 20 and 28.

Russian forces used FPV drones nine times and “Shahed” drones three times. Eight people were injured. One man was killed in the Pyatykhatky neighborhood as a result of one of the strikes. The northern part of the city—primarily the Kyivskyi and Saltivskyi districts—suffered the most damage. Russian forces also struck the Shevchenkivskyi and Slobidskyi districts.

According to the chairman, the targets were civilian: residential buildings, an educational institution, vehicles, road infrastructure, and a stadium were damaged.
