A recreation area in Kyiv was hit, leaving 7 people injured

Seven people were injured—three of them seriously—following a Russian attack on the Obolon district in northern Kyiv on October 10. According to сhairman Vitaliy Klitschko, a restaurant building was struck. Emergency services extinguished the fire; preliminary reports indicate the venue was the “Desant” restaurant.

Meanwhile, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported three separate fires involving wooden structures and grass in an open area. Rescuers extinguished the blaze, which covered a total area of 200 square meters. Additionally, a single-story building in the courtyard of a high-rise residential complex in Obolon sustained damage.

The strike hit the grounds of a boat station, located near the restaurant. Eyewitnesses who had been relaxing near the boats reported that the missile struck an area adjacent to the recreation zone, where about 20 people were present at the time. Windows in the restaurant itself were blown out, and the fire broke out in the surrounding area.

On October 10, Russian forces also attacked energy infrastructure in Kyiv and the surrounding region, causing power outages across many districts of the capital and the region. Water supply disruptions have occurred, and train intervals on the metro have been increased. Energy workers and emergency repair crews are working to restore power.
