Russian forces attacked an emergency medical service station in Kherson

On the morning of October 26, the Russian military launched a drone attack on an emergency medical service station in Kherson. The strikes damaged the building, a generator, and an ambulance. No one was injured.

Around 11:30 a.m., Russian forces attacked the facility using two “Molniya” (Lightning) type drones.

One of the drones damaged a backup generator, which provided power to the center during blackouts. The facility’s two-story building also sustained damage.

Windows were shattered, metal-plastic doors were destroyed, and the walls were damaged. The premises of the training department—where paramedics and doctors undergo periodic training to develop and refine their practical skills—were also damaged.

An ambulance was damaged during the attack as well.

All staff members remained unharmed, as they were in a shelter during the attack.

According to Pavlo Drohal, a spokesperson for the 30th Marine Corps of the Ukrainian Navy, the primary challenge is the sheer volume of UAVs launched by Russian forces. It is impossible to destroy every single drone, so some inevitably reach their targets.

Throughout October 25, Russian forces attacked the right-bank (Ukrainian-controlled) part of the Kherson region using artillery, mortars, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and various types of UAVs, including “Shahed” and “Gerbera” drones. One person was killed and 6 were wounded due to Russian aggression.
