Critical infrastructure damaged: Russia launches combined attack on Vinnytsia region

Overnight into November 3, Russia launched a combined missile and drone attack on the Vinnytsia region. The strike damaged critical infrastructure facilities, leading to power supply disruptions across the region.

According to Natalia Zabolotna, Head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, there have been no reports of casualties so far. Relevant services are currently working to address the aftermath of the attack and restore the operation of the damaged facilities.

Due to damage to energy infrastructure and power lines, most settlements in the region are without electricity. Hourly power outage schedules are currently in effect throughout the region.

Emergency crews from “Vinnytsiaoblenergo” are working to restore power. However, these efforts are being complicated by air raid alerts and the threat of further Russian strikes, which force repair teams to pause their work.

The shutdown of the main water pumping station in Vinnytsia caused water supply disruptions; however, according to “Vinnytsiaoblvodokanal,” water service has since been restored.

Additionally, due to a lack of power at substations, public transport in the city is operating under emergency service protocols.
